Dancer

I’ve been dancing as long as I can remember. I am told that my parents took me to see the

my first tap dance (and I still have the costume!)

movie “Annie” when I was about 4 years old and was completely enthralled. I laughed, I cried, I yelled out at the screen (to the shock of the sold out movie theater including shushes and glares by the movie goers followed by embarrassed tears from me), but most memorably, I wanted to tap dance like Annie. Apparently I begged my parents to put me in tap class for about a year and we finally found a studio that would let me take tap (as long as I took ballet as well). This was my dance home for about 6 years – Pam Shelander’s Academie de Danse Arts. Ms. Pam set me up with an amazing dance foundation in tap, jazz, ballet and gymnastics.
